7 PM to 7 AM, rotating through every 3rd weekend (sometimes every other based on leave of absence).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Orthopedics & Spine specialty unit. This fast-paced medical-surgical acuity unit specializes in orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, including strokes and head injuries, and traumas. The unit offers 36 private rooms and is part of a busy Level 2 trauma center.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols.
• Perform wound care and dressing changes as required.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and respond to changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Utilize advanced communication technology to enhance team interactions and patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Kansas RN License.
• BLS certification required.
• Acute care hospital experience in medical/surgical or telemetry units is essential.
• NIH certification is preferred.
