Registered Nurse - MedSurg Stepdown

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our MedSurg Stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in both stepdown and floor settings, handling various MedSurg diagnoses and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the MedSurg Stepdown unit.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Titrate drips as necessary and maintain accurate patient records in the EPIC system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS is preferred.
• Experience in MedSurg and Stepdown nursing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips is essential.
