Schedule

3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with weekend requirements every other weekend.

Job Description

The Free Standing ER Registered Nurse provides crucial emergency care for various patient demographics, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based practice in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will handle a variety of cases ranging from adult emergencies to pediatric conditions and will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical treatment to patients of all ages.
• Assess and triage patients to determine the urgency of care required.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as outlined in protocols.
• Document patient care and interactions in the electronic medical record (Epic).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in emergency care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or a Multi-State/Compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA accepted), NIHSS, TNCC.
• Preferred: CPI and NRP certifications.
• Epic charting system experience.
