Speech Language Pathologist - Acute Care

This is a full-time position working 8-hour days, typically from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Weekend rotations may be assigned based on patient care needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide patient coverage within an acute care hospital setting. The SLP will work across the continuum of care, including inpatient hospital services, acute rehabilitation, and outpatient clinic facilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct swallowing bed evaluations and therapy interventions for patients.
• Perform video fluoroscopic swallow studies, with experience preferred.
• Adapt to fluctuating patient loads and ensure quality patient care across various settings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• Completion of clinical fellowship year is required.
• Preferred experience in inpatient acute hospital settings and video fluoroscopic swallow studies.
