ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Night Shift) in Harris, New York.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Shifts are available from 3 PM to 3 AM and 7 PM to 7 AM, with weekend and holiday requirements every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Job Description

The Emergency Department serves all ages and is a New York State Designated Stroke Center with a capacity of 25 beds plus additional hall space. The unit operates under a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 to 1:5. Nurses will be expected to read strips, manage drips and vents, and work closely with a hospitalist and RT team available 24/7.

Charting is performed using the EPIC system, and there is required floor-specific orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize ACLS and PALS certifications to manage and respond to emergency situations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including charge nurses and hospitalists.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and medical data.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.

Required Experience

Active New York State Nursing License in good standing required. Candidates must hold current ACLS and PALS certifications.
