Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Schedule

Day shift from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

Job Description

The Emergency Department is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in emergency nursing and pediatric experience. The unit handles a diverse range of patient care, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics across various medical emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency room environment.
• Assess and triage patients with varying degrees of illness and injury.
• Utilize specialized equipment and protocols for emergency care, including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and interventions accurately within the EMR system (EPIC).
• Float to various areas within the emergency department as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, with pediatric experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in New York and all necessary state licenses must be active.
• Certification in AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand).
• Skills Checklist matching the specialty required.
• Drivers license with address matching demographics needed for submission.
• NURSYS report for license verification required.
• Previous travel nursing experience is mandatory.
