Endovascular Surgery Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 10-hour Day shift, 10x4 schedule. Specific hours are from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, with some variations.

Job Description

The Endovascular Surgery RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing endovascular procedures. The role involves active participation in surgical cases, patient assessments, and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Assist healthcare providers in performing endovascular surgeries.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in endovascular or related surgical specialties.
• Current AHA BLS certification is required; AHA ACLS certification is preferred.
• Experience in cardiac, vascular, or thoracic surgery is an advantage.

Holiday Expectations

Must work 2 major holidays of the following: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and 1 minor holiday: The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve.
