Open Heart Surgical Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Additional on-call requirements: 6 days of call per month.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Open Heart Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of recent experience in cardiovascular operating room settings. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams during open-heart procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during open-heart procedures, maintaining sterile field and equipment.
• Prepare surgical instruments and supplies required for procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal surgical care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in CVOR surgical technology.
• Current AHA BLS certification is required.
• Preferred: Certification in Surgical Technology (NBSTA or NCCT).

Holiday Expectations

The candidate must be available to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
