Job Description

As a Registered Nurse specializing in Psychiatry, you will provide care in an inpatient nursing unit. You'll support patients with mental health disorders, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and ensure a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and physical holds as necessary, following training requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in Virginia
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings
• Required certifications: BLS, HWC, MANDT, TOVA certified de-escalation and physical hold training
