Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Psychiatry to provide compassionate care in an inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, flexible, and possess a patient-centered approach while ensuring the highest level of personal and professional integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders, including MDD, Bipolar disorder, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, and Anxiety.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:10 and ensure the safety and well-being of patients on the unit.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Utilize equipment such as vitals machines, EKGs, and bladder scanners as part of patient assessment and monitoring.
• Participate in de-escalation and physical hold training as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid RN license in Virginia.
• Required certifications: BLS, HWC, MANDT, and TOVA-certified de-escalation/physical hold training.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Psychiatric or Behavioral Health nursing.
