Level II Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

The Level II Registered Nurse operates under the direction of the Nurse Manager and is accountable for the provision of competent care based on established standards. This role encompasses an expanded scope, including responsibilities such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member. A commitment to clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and evidence-based research is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in a telemetry unit
• Monitor patient vitals and manage telemetry equipment
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Serve as a preceptor to new staff and nursing students
• Participate in committees and contribute to nursing best practices

Schedule

This position operates on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and holidays. On-call and callback duties may be required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of telemetry experience
• Current RN license (New York only)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
