Registered Nurse - Psychiatry

Job Description

Join our team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Psychiatry. This position primarily focuses on providing compassionate and patient-centered care within an inpatient setting. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the well-being of patients with mental health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care for individuals with psychiatric disorders, including MDD, Bipolar Disorder, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, and Anxiety.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes as needed.
• Administer medication as per physician directives and established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Psychiatric or Behavioral Health nursing.
• Required certifications: BLS, HWC, MANDT, and TOVA certified in de-escalation/physical hold training.

Schedule

This position requires a rotating schedule with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shifts may vary, including weekends and holidays as needed.
