Registered Nurse - MS/Tele (ACE Unit-Acute Care for the Elderly)

Day shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to hospitalized patients aged 65 and older in the Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) unit, which is designed to optimize cognitive and physical function, facilitate recovery, and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver telemetry-capable care to MS/Tele patients.
• Administer medications and blood products.
• Manage central, peripheral, and PICC lines.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; perform remote telemetry monitoring.
• Implement heparin protocols as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Geriatric Resource Nurses.
• Provide geriatric-focused care to enhance the recovery of elderly patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience in MS/Tele.
• Active RN license in South Carolina or a multi-state compact license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 1 year of EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
