Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (Adult)

Night shift: 7 PM to 7 AM, 4x12 hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room will provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in an advanced and fast-paced environment. The role involves rapid patient assessment, triage, and management of various emergency situations, from trauma care to critical illness.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV therapy, including blood product administration and central line care.
• Monitor cardiac activity and manage dysrhythmias.
• Provide emergency care for adult and pediatric patients.
• Utilize advanced equipment for patient stabilization and treatment.
• Implement isolation precautions and triage patients effectively.
• Manage ventilator care and respiratory therapy devices, including CPAP/BiPAP.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York Single State RN license (No pending applications accepted).
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience required.
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
