Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule

This is a 12-hour night shift position with rotating hours of 3 PM to 3 AM or 7 PM to 7 AM. The role requires a commitment to work 36 hours per week, including one weekend shift per contracted week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. Holiday shifts are also part of the contract.

Job Description

Join our experienced and collaborative team in a high-acuity Emergency Department that features 80 treatment spaces in a modern environment. This unit focuses on high-quality patient care, specializing in geriatric emergency care as the area's first ACEP accredited geriatric ED.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient assessments and care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient treatment.
• Utilize EPIC for charting patient care and documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotations, with the possibility of averaging 2 hours of call per contracted week.
• Engage in specialized geriatric emergency care processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• A valid New York RN license is required.
• Current NIH and AHA BLS certifications are mandatory.
• 2 years of U.S. work history required for non-U.S. candidates.
