CICU/CVICU Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating 3x12-Hour shifts; Day: 07:00 - 19:30, Night: 19:00 - 07:30. Every other weekend and holidays required as they fall, scheduled accordingly.

Job Description

Join our team as a CICU/CVICU Registered Nurse, where you will provide exceptional care to adults and geriatric patients. This role requires a focus on complex cardiac conditions, involving various critical care procedures and specialized equipment management.

Responsibilities

• Administer direct patient care to critically ill cardiac patients.
• Assist in advanced procedures including central line insertions, bronchoscopy, and chest tube insertions.
• Monitor and manage high-acuity patients using advanced monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize technical skills with specialized equipment like Impella, IABP, and CRRT.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of experience in CVICU or CICU settings.
• Current RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS; CCRN preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
