CVICU RN - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, with a chance of rotating 11a-11p shifts based on unit needs.

Job Description

The CVICU RN will provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill cardiac surgery patients. Candidates should have immediate open heart post-operative experience and the ability to handle complex patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage critical care patients post cardiac surgery.
• Administer medications and monitor patient hemodynamics.
• Utilize advanced technologies such as ECMO and CRRT.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Maryland RN License.
• Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience, including immediate post-op care.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIH required; OCN and TCNN preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
