Job Description

Join our dynamic and busy Medical/Surgical unit specializing in the care of surgical flap patients and spinal cord injury patients with advanced wounds. Our team collaborates closely with the burn unit to provide exceptional care for low acuity burn patients. This position involves working on a floor with a maximum capacity of 49 patients, utilizing telemetry monitoring and Meditech EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct wound care and participate in bowel programs as needed.
• Monitor patient telemetry and report significant findings to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1-year current hospital Med/Surg experience.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience in caring for spinal cord injury patients is a plus.
