Surgical Technologist - Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist with strong experience in cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery. The ideal candidate will assist in various surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, ECMO, lung resection, and vascular interventions, among others. This role involves participation in a high-paced surgical environment with the potential for active involvement in holiday and on-call schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures within the operating room.
• Ensure a sterile field and assist surgeons by anticipating their needs.
• Participate in holiday call schedules, including one night call per week and one weekend call per month.
• Potentially float between different services in the Operating Room.
• Engage in onboarding training at Ruby before transitioning to Berkeley Medical Center.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Experience in cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery.
• BLS Certification (AHA) is mandatory.
• No new travelers or clinicians; strong experience is preferred.

Schedule

• All shifts available, including day and evening.
• This is a 13-week contract position, with options to extend.
