Registered Nurse - Oncology Med/Surg

Schedule

Night shift with 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, including weekdays and every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide patient care in a 12-bed inpatient oncology unit with medical-surgical overflow. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy, managing patient care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. This role is ideal for RNs with oncology experience, but it is not a strict requirement.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and chemotherapy as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient status continually.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.
• Manage IV therapy and other necessary medical procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required.
• Possession of an active RN license (WV or compact) required; pending licenses accepted.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS is mandatory.
• ONS chemotherapy/bio certification preferred.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
