Physical Therapist

Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Physical Therapy, the Physical Therapist is responsible for directing physical therapy services, coordinating and supervising the operation of the department, and administering physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician. This role involves maintaining performance improvement activities within the department and participating in continuous quality improvement activities while ensuring compliance with regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain efficient and effective department operations while ensuring compliance with all regulatory laws and standards.
• Formulate department budget evaluations and take appropriate actions to remain within budget guidelines.
• Ensure patient charges are accurate and entered in a timely manner.
• Conduct patient assessments and re-evaluations based on their therapy needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members regarding patient care plans.
• Train and supervise departmental personnel through on-the-job training.
• Manage and operate therapy equipment safely, maintaining department cleanliness and safety.
• Address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Three (3) or more years of previous experience in physical therapy preferred.
• Current California licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Schedule

This position operates Monday - Friday, from 8am to 5pm.
