Assignment Duration

This is a contract position for 6 months, with a start date of October 26.

Schedule

This position requires a 5x8.0 shift, with 2 patients scheduled at the top of the hour.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with their needs, goals, and physician directions. This role includes delegation and direction of therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs to facilitate a patient's return to community activities. Additionally, the therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, while upholding professional standards and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document care accurately and timely in compliance with clinic policies.
• Participate in the student program, providing supervision and completing evaluations.
• Create and pursue a professional development plan actively.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Engage in organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Maintains licensure and completes all state-mandated continuing education requirements.
