Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

This is a 6-month contract position for an Outpatient Physical Therapist starting November 30th. The role involves evaluating assigned patients, developing and modifying treatment plans according to patient needs and physician directions. The therapist will be responsible for delegating and directing therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Document medical records in a clear, concise, and timely manner, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Ensure all care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment and supervision.
• Develop and pursue professional development plans for continuing education and growth.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure for Physical Therapy.

Schedule

This position follows a 5x8.0 shift schedule, managing two patients per hour at the top of the hour.
