Registered Nurse - Night Shift Telemetry

Schedule

3x12 hour shifts, Nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend (EOW) and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide specialized inpatient care primarily to a stroke (neuro) patient population. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring telemetry and managing various patient care activities for those with multiple co-morbidities.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
• Administer medications and manage blood product transfusions.
• Oversee feeding tube care and management.
• Provide central line care and peripheral line management.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, including dysrhythmias.
• Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and perform wound care.
• Calculate and administer IV therapies including starting IVs.
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• BLS and NIHSS certification required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Telemetry experience, both remote monitoring and on-unit monitoring, is required.
• Knowledge and skills in accessing/management of ports and administering blood products.
• Active nursing license required for submission.
