Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, working every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Job Description

As a Telemetry Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care for patients in a telemetry setting, including those recovering from cardiac procedures. Your role will involve monitoring patients, managing their treatment plans, and ensuring a high standard of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 6 telemetry patients, including those post-cardiac procedures (PCI, PPM, ICD, Ablations).
• Proficiently read telemetry strips and manage cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amio, Nitro, Dobutamine).
• Participate in bedside shift reporting for effective patient hand-offs.
• Engage in AIDET and RN/MD rounding to enhance patient experience.
• Conduct discharge planning and patient education, including the management of foley catheters and phlebotomy.
• Collaborate with physicians and ancillary departments to develop comprehensive care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 30 months of nursing experience.
• Prior successful travel nursing assignment preferred.
• Current RN license required along with BLS, ACLS, and NIH stroke scale certification.
• Ability to float to the emergency department and work in telemetry monitoring or PCU as needed.
