Registered Nurse - Postpartum

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12 hour schedule (19:00 - 07:00). Flexibility for 4x12 shifts upon request.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Postpartum role in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and postpartum care, with the ability to maintain high standards of nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care to postpartum patients.
• Manage patient care responsibilities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Assist with breastfeeding support and provide education to new parents.
• Administer medication and monitor patient vital signs.
• Support high-risk deliveries and assist with vaginal deliveries as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of postpartum nursing experience required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand or compact license.
• Certifications required: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
