Registered Nurse - IMCU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Medical Care Unit (IMCU). The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with complex medical conditions. Common diagnoses include Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, and Respiratory issues, among others.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and lab results.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Assist in the management of medical equipment such as Temp pacers, Chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, and Chronic vents.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in IMCU or PCU.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Registered Nurse license in New York with an active status and NURSYS report.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is required.
• Valid driver’s license with an address matching demographics.
