Registered Nurse - IMCU/PCU

Schedule

Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, following a block scheduling model (not guaranteed).

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), focusing on providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population with common diagnoses including Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory conditions such as COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Myocardial Infarction, and postoperative recovery. The unit encompasses 64 beds, including 15 designated for Neuro patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care in the IMCU setting.
• Utilize specialty equipment including temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPap machines, and Neptune Vapo.
• Manage patients on chronic ventilators with assistance from respiratory therapists.
• Ensure thorough and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic).
• Float to other units as required, maintaining flexibility in care delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU.
• Current New York RN license; verification through NURSYS.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Up-to-date resume detailing travel experience and clinical competencies.
• Driver's license with matching address.
• EMR experience required: Epic.
