Registered Nurse - IMCU/PCU Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night Shift: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed).

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The nurse will manage patients with various common diagnoses, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. This role may require the RN to float to different units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assess patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders
• Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement patient care
• Assist in the management of specialty equipment, including but not limited to temp pacers, chest tubes, A lines, and BiPAP

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Active New York RN license and all other relevant RN licenses
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Skills checklist matching specialty is required
• Driver's license with address matching demographics
