Monday - Friday; two weekend day requirement per month.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective return to community activities. The role includes educating patients, families, students, coworkers, and self, while performing professional duties associated with patient care and the development of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address barriers to discharge.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions efficiently based on patient needs.
• Document medical records clearly and accurately, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate in student programs, providing a supportive learning environment.
• Pursue professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional activities.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Engage in advocacy efforts, including community events and professional memberships.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• Must hold a valid, current State license as a Physical Therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience is required.
