12-hour rotating shifts including evenings and nights with varied start times.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This role requires critical thinking skills and the ability to manage a wide range of patient conditions, including trauma, stroke, and other urgent medical situations.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement patient care in the emergency department.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Manage IV lines, administer medications, and perform EKGs.
• Provide support to patients and families, ensuring understanding of care plans.
• Conduct rapid assessments and triage emergency patients effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current CA Registered Nurse License.
• ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the emergency department is essential.
• Experience with Epic documentation system is required.
• Travel nursing experience is preferred.
