12-hour rotating shifts including evenings and nights with varied start times.

Job Description

The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment, working with a diverse demographic primarily consisting of elderly patients. Responsibilities include managing patient assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care amidst a high patient turnover rate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in compliance with established protocols.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to ensure a streamlined patient experience.
• Conduct triage and provide immediate care for trauma and urgent cases.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active California RN license.
• 2+ years of recent Emergency Department experience required.
• Travel experience preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS are required (AHA only).
• Experience with Epic documentation system is required.
• Preferred certifications include CEN and TNCC.
