Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position, requiring 12-hour shifts on days with weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient-centered care and support a variety of medical conditions. You will work closely with a varied patient population which includes conditions such as CHF, COPD, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, orthopedic issues, and oncology care while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care and support to patients across the Med/Surg unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage medication administration.
• Interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythms.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team for comprehensive patient management.
• Participate in unit-based patient care rounds and provide documentation as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license for the state of practice.
• BLS Certification required.
• No prior experience required, but relevant Med/Surg experience is preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac rhythms.
