Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The nurse will utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies to ensure the safe delivery of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments & communicate findings effectively.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care.
• Maintain knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide leadership and direction to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
• Float to designated areas within the nurse’s scope and experience as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in Emergency Nursing.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC certification required.
• NRP, ENPC preferred.
• Must have current RN license in the applicable state.
