Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Night shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care in the Emergency Department, addressing a broad range of patient needs from neonates to geriatrics. The RN will utilize critical thinking and assessment skills to manage patients experiencing medical, surgical, trauma, and pediatric emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as per protocol.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and vital signs.
• Provide care for patients requiring advanced interventions, including ventilated patients and those with complex medical needs.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in trauma response and stabilization of critically injured patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of RN experience in an Emergency Department or related setting.
• Previous charge experience is required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Knowledge of Epic charting system preferred.
• Must be able to float to Medical-Surgical and ICU units as needed.
• Must possess a valid RN license compliant with the state residency requirements.
