Nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; floating required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing care to patients in the Emergency Department by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The RN demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership while planning for the safe delivery of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments and communicate findings effectively.
• Administer medications and monitor side effects proficiently.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care.
• Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in the Emergency Department.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, & ENPC certifications required.
• NRP preferred.
• Fingerprinting for all NM travelers is required.
• Floating within the nurse's scope and experience is required.
