Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Schedule

Full-time position, working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age and needs of the patient population served on the assigned units. This role ensures that quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with the unit's standards of care. The RN demonstrates performance aligned with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization, and treats staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and establish priorities according to patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
• Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends that require intervention.
• Develop and implement a measurable, individualized plan of care within established nursing standards.
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on the interpretation of facts and evaluations of patient outcomes; modify the plan of care as necessary.
• Participate in patient and significant other health education and discharge planning.
• Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care.
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico RN license or a current Compact state license.
• BLS Certification from AHA required.
• ACLS Certification from AHA required.
• PALS Certification from AHA required.
• TNCC or ATCN certification required.
• CPI/De-Escalation Certification preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served.
