Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a clinical practitioner responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. The RN ensures that quality care is delivered in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. Demonstrating performance that aligns with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the organization, the RN shows effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice while treating staff, physicians, patients, and families with respect.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record initial assessments; establish priorities according to patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
• Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends that require intervention.
• Develop and implement measurable individualized plans of care within established timeframes.
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on the interpretation of facts and evaluations of patient outcomes, modifying plans as needed.
• Participate in patient and significant other health education and discharge planning.
• Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care.
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• BLS Certification from AHA required.
• ACLS Certification from AHA required.
• PALS Certification from AHA required.
• TNCC Certification required.
• CPI or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
