Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30). Must be open to working weekends, including potential exceeding every other weekend to meet unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. This role requires expertise in performing sterile vaginal exams independently and triaging obstetrical patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage effectively.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and support laboring patients.
• Monitor fetal heart rate and manage abnormal patterns.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families on labor and delivery processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, with a strong preference for candidates with at least 1.5 years of relevant experience.
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP.
• Expertise in performing sterile vaginal exams without supervision.
• Experience with the Epic charting system is required.
