Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30), requiring 4 weekend shifts per month, either Friday or Saturday nights.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, encompassing a variety of patient populations, including neonates, adolescents, and adults. The RN will work closely with interdisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional patient outcomes in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize external fetal monitoring and recognize abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
• Provide care in triage, labor, delivery, and postpartum settings.
• Circulate for C-sections and assist with both low and high-risk labor and delivery cases.
• Participate in on-call duties as voluntary and float to Perinatal as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Must have Epic experience.
• Active California RN license required at submission.
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• No more than 3 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed per contract.
