Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 20-week contract position, starting on November 16th.

Schedule

Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30 with a 3x12-hour schedule. Requires working 4 weekend shifts per month, with voluntary on-call duties and the willingness to float to Perinatal as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Labor & Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience and expertise in using electronic fetal monitoring, with the ability to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for circulating during C-sections and providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, and adults.

Responsibilities

• Utilize external fetal monitoring effectively in patient assessments.
• Recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
• Circulate for C-sections and assist in delivery procedures.
• Provide care for low and high-risk labor and delivery patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including OB hospitalists and anesthesia services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Must have Epic experience.
• Active California RN license required at submission.
• Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
