Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00). Must be flexible working weekends.

Job Description

We are seeking a strong caregiver to provide support during the PM shift in the Labor and Delivery unit. Candidates with precepting skills are preferred. This position requires floating between mother-baby units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties in the Labor and Delivery unit, including the administration of medications and the monitoring of patient status.
• Support high-risk deliveries and assist with postpartum care.
• Apply internal monitoring devices and perform non-stress tests as necessary.
• Deliver evidence-based care to neonates and mothers, ensuring adherence to standards and protocols.
• Educate patients and their families on care processes, discharge instructions, and breastfeeding support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery required.
• Current RN license in California is required.
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP, C-EFM (will accept in lieu of Advanced AWHONN).
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
