Registered Nurse - Stepdown Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-Hour rotating shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Stepdown Unit with the potential to float to other units. This position will provide winter coverage and incorporates a blend of day and night shifts. The ideal candidate will have robust stepdown experience to ensure effective patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Stepdown Unit.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Assist in the assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting per hospital policies.
• Administer medications and perform treatments according to protocol.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• MUST HAVE 18 months combined permanent experience in a Stepdown Unit.
• Active Ohio nursing license or compact state license required at the time of submission.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience in PCU/Progressive care is preferred but not required.
