Occupational Therapist

Job Description

As an Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate, select, perform, and/or direct assistance in educational, vocational, and recreational activities designed to restore maximum function to physically and/or mentally disabled patients, upon physician's referral. You will work collaboratively with family members and health team members regarding the patient's abilities and goals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans to restore function.
• Collaborate with family members and health team members to set patient goals.
• Direct educational, vocational, and recreational activities for patients.
• Assist patients in achieving maximum physical and mental capabilities.

Schedule

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with 10-hour shifts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Eligible for licensure or hold a current Occupational Therapist license from the State of Oregon.
• Current valid Oregon driver’s license is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of occupational therapy principles related to physical disability and rehabilitation.
• Excellent communication skills and positive attitude are essential.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
