Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 26-week contract position with the possibility of extension.

Schedule

Nights, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) with weekday and weekend requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced medical-surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care settings and will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to manage a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with various medical-surgical conditions.
• Monitor patients' conditions, administer medications, and document care in EMR (Cerner).
• Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge care.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital protocols and nursing best practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Active RN license (WV or compact state) required; pending licenses may be accepted.
• Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
