MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position with the possibility of extension.

Schedule

Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30, including weekdays and three weekend shifts per four-week period.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a 34-bed med/surg unit with telemetry capabilities. This role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring vital signs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health management and treatment plans.
• Utilize telemetry to monitor patients and respond to changes in condition.
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices for infection control.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with nursing practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience, specifically in MedSurg.
• Current RN license in West Virginia or compact state required; pending license applications will be accepted for submission.
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Previous charge experience is a plus.
