Schedule

Shifts are 3x12 hours, with rotating day (07:00 - 19:30) and night (19:00 - 07:30) shifts, potentially subject to change based on hospital operational needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown Unit. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in stepdown or progressive care nursing. This role includes potential floating to various units, delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a stepdown unit.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatments.
• Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 18 months of combined permanent experience in an applicable nursing specialty.
• Must have 18 months of recent experience in stepdown or progressive care nursing.
• Active Ohio Nursing License or Compact State License required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Previous charge experience is a plus.
• Travel experience will be considered.
