Job Description

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse will provide specialized care for pediatric patients, including those requiring epilepsy monitoring and care for ages up to 25 years. The RN will work on a night shift schedule, delivering essential critical care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient vitals and manage critical care interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Conduct ECG rhythm recognition and inotropic management
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 18 months of permanent experience in PICU or equivalent specialty
• Active Ohio nursing license or compact state license in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Experience with ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate
• Reference from a manager or supervisor in the specialty required
