Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise the individual patient care using the nursing process. The RN will be responsible for the direction of co-workers and the delegation of appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. This role involves providing compassionate and patient-centered care in alignment with FMC policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient according to the nursing process.
- Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plans of care/pathways.
- Educate patients and families from admission through the discharge process.
- Document the nursing process/pathway thoroughly, concisely, and accurately.
- Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status.
- Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately.
- Implement physician orders as written.
- Ensure the availability of equipment and supplies for patient care, reporting any malfunctions.
Required Experience
Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Valid license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio.
- Current CPR certification is required.
