Respiratory Therapist - Day Shift

Day shift: 3x12.0 hours.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care by delivering intensive respiratory care and conducting patient transport as medically prescribed. This role involves evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and educating patients upon discharge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using various ventilation and aerosol devices.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and various suctioning methods.
• Monitor oximetry and capnography according to policy.
• Review patients’ chest x-rays for further evaluation.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies and assist in respiratory procedures.
• Provide tracheostomy care and perform arterial puncture as required.
• Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate relevant information to the medical team.
• Ensure proper maintenance and operation of ventilatory equipment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Valid Respiratory Therapist licensure and relevant certifications are required.
